I remember seeing a comic about storage devices. Every time a storage device with a larger capacity comes out, no matter how large the space it has in it, there's still not enough space. People want to save a lot of stuff these days. Things like videos, mp3s, images, large raw *.psd files or whatever.
There was a time that I wanted to buy an external hard disk. Since I really wanted it, I went to a firm that offers a payday loan. Utah, my home town has this money lending firm that offers car loans, cash advances, payday loans, and some other firms at a high approval rate. Anyway, so there. I got my money, then I bought my external storage. Next thing I know, they release a new storage device with higher capacity.
