Jill and the kids have been looking, and looking, and looking - then researching some more... and finally came up with a new dog for the house.
So Saturday we drove up to Sandy to visit and pick out the new puppy - kind of like an adoption visit. Alysha fell in love with a specific little one of the litter and so we put a deposit down on the latest member of our family. (I'm not supposed to say pet)
Rory is a Golden Doodle - first generation mix between a standard poodle (cream colored) and a nice Golden Retriever named Zoe. She is smallest of the litter of 7 puppies. Ryan's been searching for a long time, and even has made a list of names... so Rory is what she'll be called.
We won't be able to get her until she's weaned in another month or so.
But here's a picture of the family with the new dog.
Notice my wonderful haircut! - I went to the same place I've been going to for years, said the same 'finger-length' instructions... but was shocked when I opened my eyes and saw my 'buzz'. The first thing Jill said when I came home and took off my 'work out' hat... "Well, at least your hair grows fast..."

McKinley is very excited about Grandma's new puppy!
I'd like to welcome Rory to the family as her aunt. Also, just a note for the record - all Parsons have the ringtone "dog bark" on my iphone, since we're all dog lovers!
This post breaks my heart because we recently got a very cute puppy but then had to give it up due to landlord problems..its' on my blog if you care. Anyways I am glad you found such a cute puppy! I will definitely have to come visit
The new puppy looks so cute and I hope you enjoy the dog as much as Alysha and Ryan will. It is a good thing Jill wants a dog because they always think she is the Alpha. It will be fun to see her and Gram and Gramps also welcome her to the family.
I'm excited to see Rory and get acquainted with her. Ginny will be afraid of her size, but should be good friends like Annie and Ginny. Congratulations Jill, Ryan and Alysha.
Naturally, I think your puppy is so cute! That's exciting for you guys. I hope we can see your puppy some time soon!
