Pieced a quilt? Really? Very interesting.
Janet,
I did spend a summer when I was 14 living with Grandma Carlsen. It was either that or go out in the hay fields with my allergies...
What can I say, I took the easy way and spent many days working on quilts with Grandma.
And never did learn her story of why she made them like you found out.
Keith
Cool dad! That was fun to read. After your trip around the world you will be able to add a few more!!
It certainly is most interesting to me to read the interaction of Janet and Keith. As we age we seem to connect more with our siblings. Thanks for sharing and blogging.
Don't feel bad, Keith. She was my mother and I never knew the story. You would think she would tell me. I always appreciated the quilts and loved the ones she made for my children.
I am happy you have done so many things in your life. You have been blessed in many ways. Thanks to my children and grandchildren I spend a lot of my day reading their blogs. I appreciate all of you and love that you share your lives with us this way. I spoke to a lady at th Seville today who was sad she never learned to type because her family didn't have money for paper. I told her about the blogs of my kids and grandchildren. She was amazed and thought how wonderful it is that they are recording their photos and history his way.
OK. I will comment on your list with ,y marks.
And I will add Tinas too in a combined effort.
SOme of the more Americans ones are hard to get to for us in Europe.
